The Boss
"Timmy don't forget to take out the glazed in two minutes." "Ok", I responded. "I'm going to take a puff, and when you take them out don't forget to turn on the hot and ready sign." I'm really starting to like this job. It's very simple and doesn't require a lot of effort. I sit here admiring myself for my new found job and completely forget to remove the doughnuts from the oven. I quickly run to the back, smell burning and automatically assume the burning smell is the doughnuts, but when I reach the oven the smell goes away. I hear the door bell jingle about 5 times and realize we have customers. I remove the doughnuts out of the oven and throw them into the warmer and run back up to the front. My boss said "Get your key and lock the shop." I scurry to cut off the lights and follow my boss and the customers down Moth Street. During the walk down the street, I smell a foul odor of of grease and smoke. I see clowns running down the street and a whole lot of chaos. Also, I saw this HUGE guy walking down the street disappointed. He was complaining about not being able to get moonshine or something. I thought I saw him in the local paper for beating up this guy in front of Queens Palace. Drexel Young was his name. After we assisted with the fire, my boss tells me I can go close the shop and go home for the night. I respond "Yes sir, you don't have to tell me twice."
